Recipe of the Week: March 5 - March 11, 2001


BROCCOLI BAKE
Ingredients:

2  10oz. packages frozen chopped broccoli
1 slice bread, torn in pieces
3/4 cup milk
4 ounces processed American cheese, cut in cubes.(1 cup)
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 hard cooked eggs, coarsely chopped
2 tablespoons melted butter
Directions:

    Prepare broccoli according to package instructions and drain.
    Put bread in blender container and blend until bread is course crumbs.Put crumbs in dish and set aside.    
    Put milk, cheese, flour and salt in blender container and blend until smooth.   Combine with broccoli and eggs.
    Pour into 1 quart casserole.
Combine butter and crumbs and sprinkle on top casserole.
    Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.
