Strawberry Cake

Ingredients, Recipe & Directions
CAKE:
1 box of butter cake mix, baked as directed on the box. Let cool. Take a thread and cut each layer in half so you will have 4 layers.

GLAZE:
1 cup boiling water
1 cup white sugar
2 Tablespoons corn starch
Cook this until it is clear and thickens.
Add 1 box of dry, strawberry Jell-O, mix good, add 1 quart of sliced strawberries. Set aside till cool.

FILLING:
1 package of 8 oz cream cheese, beaten till creamy, then add 1/2 cup powdered sugar and mix good. Add 1 box of 12 oz cool whip, set aside. After you have all of this cooled, start stacking the cake. First a layer of cake then a layer of filling, then a layer of glaze, continue till all is complete. Let set in ice box till it chills.
