Clogging Class Policy & Procedures

At the Judi King School of dance we value every student... young and old, beginner and advanced students alike. It is our aim to offer a quality, dance education to all of our students). Taking dance class is the same as participating in any other extracurricular activity and requires a sincere commitment.

Some students choose to make dance their primary extra curricular activity and participate in dance at a very high level.

So with that said; If you are six (6) years old with 2 years of dance (tap) experience from JKSD, you may choose to take in addition to your regular combination class time, a clogging class each week.

Both students and parents should decide if they have the time to commit to two classes a week. No matter how talented a student is, if they don't have time for both the combination and clogging classes and if they don't have enough parental support, they may be better off in on class per week. (the combo class is mandatory to take the clogging class)

All students that choose to take the clogging class are expected to maintain regular attendance in all classes and are required to attend their combination class.

If teachers decide that students are not making the commitment required, changes will be made prior to recital costumes being ordered.

Parents should recognize that participation in 2 classes a week involves additional financial commitments. Students that choose to attend more classes.. .perform more dances in our recital , which naturally results in more tuition, costumes, shoes and accessory fees than a student that takes 1 class per week is likely to encounter. The fee for the clogging class is an extra month.

You are expected to wear a RRC class uniform to practice each week. Tshirts are $20.00

Cell phone use is prohibited in the Dance Studio.

Class fees are $60 a month + $35 a month for additional class time. Total due per month for both classes $95

CLASS SIZES ARE LIMITED

Students and parents interested in participation must also recognize the expectations related to attitude. Students are expected to support and encourage each other and to exhibit an impeccable attitude at all times. Our students—without exception—are expected to treat each other, their teachers and parents with the highest level of respect. Representing ourselves with class and dignity is an absolute requirement.
